This is due to the Rugby World Cup changing our regular schedule. However we believe November will be an excellent show month in 2011 due to several important factors.

1. Rugby World Cup is completed
2. Canterbury rebuilding has started
3. Increased Fonterra payments flowing into the rural community
4. Several months of lower interest rates.

Each of these four factors will have a positive impact on our economy with most of the benefits coming from October onwards. We believe November is the perfect time for businesses to take advantage of the improved consumer sentiment that will arise from these major events, increased household incomes and lower mortgage rates. November is also the heart of spring where many renovation projects for the Home and Garden begin.

Consumers throughout the country will be looking for new ideas, products and services as they look to improve their homes, gardens and enhance their lifestyle. November is also perfect for all the pre Christmas purchases and household projects.

Our shows increase sales… Have you considered the Marlborough Home & Garden Show for your business?

Several exhibitors at the Marlborough Home & Garden Show 2010 told us how thrilled they were to enjoy a lift in sales from the event, after a few slow months. When we spoke to Tracy O’Connor, Carpet One, Blenheim she commented that as first time exhibitors the end result was amazing. They had 39 appointments booked to turn into work and they were very pleased with their stand, the show set up and perfect flow and the event organisation. “This is the best money I could have spent on advertising and market awareness and the investment has had a great outcome for the business.
